Transformational Mentor Training, Module 2 is completed...

Sharron Montgomery leads Module 2 of the TMT

Last Saturday February 7th, 2009, at the Union Baptist Association in Houston, Mission Houston offered the 2nd date for the W&HC Initiative Transformational Mentor Training, Module 2.

Sharron Montgomery, Professional Development Trainer of the Character Education Department at the HISD, led the training with more of 40 participants during both dates.

Sarron is also a certified Ruby Payne instructor, so she incorporated the dinamics of culture of poverty to the training.

The training completed the second of four modules planned for 2009, in an effort to equip mentors of the Whole & Healthy Children Initiative. This training, as well as Module 1, will be available on video late next week.

Module 3 is scheduled for Saturday, March 7th and 28th of 2009.
