Mission Houston

A Nation in Prayer...

May 2, 2008

National Day of Prayer gathers hundreds.

Music, praise, repentance... and even dance is the way to describe Houston National Day of Prayer. On Thursday, May 1, close to fifteen hundred of Houstonians joined millions of Americans to honor God and pray for his guidance. Speakers included Mayor Bill White, Pastor John Crimmins, Bishop James Dixon, Pastor Jose Emerito Gonzales, Mattress Mack, Dodie Osteen, Pastor Steve Riggle, Pastor Suzette Cadwell and Martha Turner. Musical guests included Kathy Taylor and a three hundred member choir and orchestra representing members of churches throughout the Greater Houston area. Prayers for our city and nation were lifted up by the citizens of Houston.
